“Take hold” – “Let go” two ways of life –
One driven, grasping, loose or tight,
Whichever way that one prefers;
They’re both the same – just one defers –
To other’s grasping driven-ness,
Quite sober, or through drunkenness;
Aware, or quite spaced out through time –
What’s yours is mine; and mine is fine.
Some push and shove to get their way,
Which means you lose, don’t have a say;
But, bottom line of all this fuss
Is driven-ness – “There’s not enough”.
So stumbling-blocks appear like drifts,
As wind blows snow, which then resists
Our easy traverse on our way –
We’re easy pickings as their prey.
“So stay en-guard for nasty types”,
Christ said, “but even more the likes
Of those who prey; spread wide their ways –
So just resist what others say.
Stay focused on the road ahead;
Short time it is ’till all are dead –
Then others start where we leave off;
Don’t leave them trash at which to scoff –
But lay each brick with quality –
Not stumbling-blocks which they don’t see,
But build with quality – a place
For them to grow in love and grace.
Thanks Lord for this.
