"It's Still Too Soon To Say" [Fawcett Epilogue] (Matt. 26:47-56; Isaiah 2:1-5; Joel 3:9-13; Luke 22:35-38)

A Chinese scholar quipped one day,
My point of view? Too soon to say
If revolution of the French
Was good or bad – I’m on the bench.

For who’s to say, for all we know,
The data’s kept in decks below;
There’s pride, and “our security”,
At least that’s what the leaders plead.

But people quite resemble us
In days gone by, amidst their fuss;
So we can from the others learn
A lot – or we could lessons spurn.

Which many do – but scope exists
To change our minds, and not resist
Good counsel to rise over this –
Exchange thrown-rocks for heaven’s kiss

Thanks Lord for this.
