"The Tree" [Module #172] (Luke 12:12)

“Stu, be the tree; produce the crop;
Don’t let it fall to ground and rot,
But let it all the others feed,
Addressing each and every need.

“For having gone, I’ll be with you,
And show you larger point of view
Than what’s afoot, which you can see –
My view will now address your need.

“Take up resource; produce the crop;
Exchange the fruit, despise it not;
You’ve had your turn, give them a chance
To live your life of joyous dance.

“Don’t fret about the words to use,
I’ll show you in the time I choose;
Bless them as best you can each day,
And let the rest all wash away.”

You sent that man with word for me,
Isaiah led to Hebrews – “See
Old Moses and the other folk
Passed on baton” – and as he spoke –

What came to mind was Hebrews’ lists
Of folks who ended in some ditch;
To prayers for intervention came
Relief for half of them in pain.

But other half played out their roles
Through death and tribulation’s tolls;
So faith sustained the ones who died,
As those who walked on by Your side.

Lord I don’t know where this trail leads;
I hear, “Relax – let manna feed
The soul; in Me abide each day,
As Spirit shows you what to say”.

Thanks Lord for this.
