"The Soft Landing"  [Module #189] (Luke 12:42)

Two years it’s been – well, more or less,
Since chat with him – I must confess
It’s busy been, but overall,
Soft Landing’s been the way of fall.

If “fall” is how one would describe
Location change of Jesus’ scribe,
From up above in heavenly line
To here – it’s seemed so long a time.

More like descent of bunker-bomb,
Which penetrates more than Ka-bong;
I hit the surface (as before),
But then I went right through the floor.

And still I whirl in my dissent –
Soft landing? Yes, and heaven-sent –
But this part I had not foreseen,
That bunker-buster I’d have been.

We all know what’s ahead for that;
For when the bottom’s reached, ker-splat –
Ka-boom! From bottom of the hole,
The latter days of bomber-mole.

I’d never thought there’d be a yarn
Which one can spin between the harm
A bunker-buster does (Ka-boom!),
From when it breaks through living room.

So here it is – slo-mo indeed –
This key descent to where I’ll be;
Is nothing going on right now?
Just long descent before Ka-pow!

But soft it is from in the bomb –
Depth-charge before things go Ka-bong;
Surreal indeed, while other tasks
I do each day as I am asked

Key aspect of this journey down,
Especially since we broke the ground,
Is not mess up the end-point reached,
From which He wants His gospel preached.

For there it is that max effect
Will happen through those (God’s elect)
Who He has given to such tasks,
Here – having slipped through time that’s passed.
