"Toss Your Heart Over First, Then Jump The Hurdle" [John - Core Series] (John 17:19-26)

As we go forth, not done before
In life we’ve lived, through opened door,
Assured we are – Your candle burns
For us, as we this mission learn.

So loop we’ve left has candlepower
That burns in window-pane this hour;
We’re not alone; we have a home
No matter where on earth we roam.

You prayed, O Lord, for unity,
Not just of Father, Son, but me
All bound up with the other gifts,
In Your disdaining surface rifts.

Lord, this is ’bout Your sending us,
With tasks to do despite the fuss
We will encounter – thanks, O Lord,
For sending us to share Your word.

Lord, this is where I stop today,
And shift my focus as this plays
Out in Your novel shared through me –
Each morning let me hear from Thee.

What You would say to Bridge this gap
From Madeleine to where life’s at
Up here in Western Prairie-ville,
That they might sense Your presence still.

Lord, I can’t do this book alone;
Please help me stay in You, that tone
Might thus reflect Your presence here,
Your words to all of us made clear.

Thanks Lord for this.
