"Stress" (Matt. 28:18-20; John 14:1-4)

This massive stress,
I must confess,
Is nothing less
Than wilderness.

Lord, help me walk;
Restrain my talk,
That I not balk
Through lessons taught.

Lord, I don’t see
Which is like me;
I long to flee
From here to Thee –

Not Thee down here;
This much is clear,
I’ve massive fear
Beneath good cheer.

Lord, let me feel
Your presence – steel
My nerves – reveal
As I now kneel –

Before You now,
As you allow –
We meet, somehow
To yield – “Ka-Pow” –

To where there’s need
Through planted seed;
Gone now the weeds,
Full crop then feeds.

Lord, thanks for this;
This part I’d missed –
“We’ll meet – your list –
It’s heaven-kissed.

“Those mansioned rooms
Which I have groomed,
Light in the gloom
Soon strong as noon.

“Stu, I now call
Your name this fall;
It’s best for all
Here at the wall.

“So hear My voice –
Work of your choice
Has ample toys
To cut through noise.

“So Stu – ahead!
For I’m not dead;
Be Spirit-led,
And daily fed.

“ ‘This place prepared’
I have declared;
To date you’ve fared
Quite well, repaired –

“Now down to work;
You’re not a jerk;
Each task don’t shirk;
With Him don’t lurk.”

Lord, this is good;
Now understood –
Look under the hood
For daily food.

I get it now –
Shift eyes somehow,
For You allow;
Joint work starts now.

Thanks Lord for this.
