"Bewildered"

Lord,

This time for me of entering this land,
Bewildering – the word which comes to mind,
A-kimbo, all just topsy-turvy now;
Unlike before (much better this, somehow).

So strange it is, familiar yet not so;
Far out beyond security I know;
A walk by faith, of that there is no doubt;
Without You here, Lord, it would be a route.

Lord, I’ve no way to see extent of this;
My anchored ways long gone, just this abyss;
You have a reason – that much I am sure;
“Just stay in me”, You say, “you’ll be secure”.

Tonight, O Lord, I heard Your word for me;
Two times; not loud – perspective – I could see
A bit – assurance I was still on track;
Whatever meaning’s there, despite my lack.

I can’t recall those words now, but my thanks
Go out to You – assurance acts like banks
Of river-course – just holding way for me
To traverse – vast these days down to the sea.

Thanks Lord for this.
