"Those Standing Under" [ Module #127] (Luke 10: 21; 25ff)

There’s those around who understand,
When trouble’s faced don’t lend a hand;
And those who under-stand with us,
Or under us stand in our muss.

My role in life? To under-stand,
Not in my mind, but with my hand;
As others in the ditch I find,
Help them get out, and thus be kind.

So often folks can’t see a way
Out of some ditch where they have played,
Or stayed, or worked their way in deep,
’Till ooze of muck held fast their feet.

Then all it takes is insight, shared
Through photographs or words prepared,
With aim to give insight full reign,
So life for them not there remains.

But challenge is resisted word
By those in need, although they’ve heard;
And that’s where story plays a part,
When viewers reach into our art.

Then it’s too late, the seed is sown –
In time, from seed full crop is grown;
They have to deal with what they’ve seen,
Respond to what in life it means.

A man once from Samaria,
Helped out in different area,
While wise and understanding ones
Walked by, or so the story runs.

That’s what I mean – photography –
Augmented text of poetry
And novels – God’s new form of art,
To understand – to love impart.

Thanks Lord for this.
