"Springtime" (Psalm 126)

Springtime follows winter like daylight follows night;
Though we sow in sorrow, harvest-time is bright;
Thank You, Lord, for freedom – change of roads back when
Things weren’t heading skyward – more like two of ten.

People speak of freedom coming in a flash;
Long can be its travail, marathon, not dash;
Still we reach the end point, now equipped to face
Challenges we longed for – triumph not disgrace.

Lord as we move forward river-beds quite dry,
Send fall rains to fill them, now before we die;
Let this time of sowing be like winter wheat –
Dormant through the coldness, crops in spring to meet.

Thank you for this insight, how indeed we’re blessed;
Help us live with patience, taking time to rest;
Laughter mixed with singing, dreams fulfilled in You;
Celebrating freedom – life begun anew.

Thanks Lord for this.
