"On Final"(Psalm 126; 116:9,15; 72:14;  Isaiah Ch40-55)

Lord, you restored with purpose bright,
That I might walk here, in Your sight,
Delivered from a road not good,
To live in You as we all should.

Throughout those years of tumult wild,
Throughout, You kept me as Your child;
As child – not knowing what was what –
An opened the door with other shut.

But thanks for putting me right here;
Thanks for a life redeemed, made clear
To me as we now leave the fog,
To live here in this dialogue.

Lord, as I leave this loop of life,
To walk this land, bring to its night,
The light he spoke of to the kids –
“Light to each candle darkness rids”–

It matters not where we are set;
It matters not what our effect;
As we live on and inter-act,
Your presence here can work with that.

And if not here, then somewhere else,
As You now move us from the shelf
To walk now through Your wonder-land,
And in the end each under-stand.

Lord, thanks for Your redeeming love,
Amidst this world of push and shove,
Where folks want life without You in
Their centers – where all life begins.

“Fulfill my vows,” is what I hear,
“In presence of the rest” – quite clear –
“Not all alone, for body life
Is now the way, here in Your sight”.

Thanks Lord for this.
