"If Found, Display"  [Reflections on Chris Orwig's Book Visual Poetry Matrix of Chapters 1-4 with  Chapter 10] (Matt.5:13-16; 13:44-46)

If found in life, display to all;
An outlet change, for digital
Is needed ’specially for things found
In life, as we just walk around.

We see what’s there – a bit of us
Emerges in our photos, thus
The things we find are what we see –
Thus what I see is part of me.

But what we see effects our view;
Like soldiers’ worlds which get renewed,
Or Bobby Bondar’s spatial scene –
Her later photos say, “I’ve been”.

Like poetry which sees and holds
Things up to us, poetic load
Is easier – defense is down,
So photographs slip in, no sound.

So mystery and philosophy
Are mixed in photos – what we see
Screams out to those with eyes to see,
“Hey look – I’ve found a part of me!”

Thanks Lord for this.
