"First Impressions"  [Module #91] (John 7:25-31)

They did a study of some kids in res,
Assigned the pairs of roommates, Proctor says –
“Write down your first impressions of the one
You’re paired up with and turn that in when done”.

In six months they were asked once more there views
Of room-mates, as now each one clearly knew
At deeper level who their room-mate was;
Quite different their assessments now, because –

More subtle aspects of each person rose
To top – events of daily life exposed
Some other sides of people they now knew;
Two years went by – they asked again their view.

But this time first impressions came back in;
In longer-term their first views seemed to win;
Conclusion? Right or wrong, impressions stick,
So be yourself – so others see that quick.

Thanks Lord for this.
