"Time, Time, Time, And A Half - Proportional Breakdown Of Time"

“It’s, ‘time, and time, and time, and half’,
To break things down, so all can laugh –
Three years, three years, three years, plus two –
That’s fourteen years I gave to you”.

Lord, that’s so cool – percent, not time –
To do your work across this line;
It matters not how much we get –
Percent, proportion – so it fits.

So here I am – part number one –
Foundation time, long way from done;
A time indeed that all have fun;
Foundations lay that day be won.

“Then on foundation, layer two –
Build up the shell, which all must do
Who build My house, here on the rock,
Like Peter’s rock, who talked the walk.

“Then layer three – its payoff time –
Three years to gather sheaves sublime;
Of course it’s tough, hard, sweaty, toil –
Like Virden, Hargrave’s flowing oil.

“And then a half a time at end –
When things wrap up, road takes a bend;
When ‘Be thou faithful unto death
Gives crown of life through final breath’.”

Thanks Lord, for this.
