"It's Not The Will..." [Module # 81A] (Matt. 18:10-14;)
Now here’s a line I relished in when first I heard its ring –
“It’s not my Father’s will above”, I heard its echoes sing,
“That any – not the least of them – should perish from the earth”,
And that includes us all, not just the ones with second birth.One day I watched him line them up as “certified to squeak
So clean they are from filthiness, no danger to the weak”;
And that’s okay, I guess, but we all knew it was a crock,
And from that lineup we’d all flee – at least we’d quickly walk.It’s just the flavor of the day, and Generation-X,
Obsessed with promise-keepers and the fad which followed next
From Zeitgeist we obsessed upon (and that was church renewal) –
The basis of solution they’d require to act as fuel.Oh well, at least this word applies to all who walk this earth,
As we pursue our livelihoods, give to our kids their birth;
Though most would more selective be re: who gets second chance,
It’s there for all and sundry, not just those who sing and dance.“Dear Lord and Master of mankind what e’er our race and clan”,
I thank you for Your mercy, cut for me the way I am;
If we deserved it only, none of us would make the cut,
Though lots of folks think they are in, and for that reason strut.navigation
