Yesterday’s Whirl
Poems in the morning at the crack of dawn;
Meeting ’bout the project and the road we’re on;
Session ’bout the work and doing June review;
Took me up to lunch – and quite exhausted too.Meeting as a mentor; then a time to rest;
Rainstorm got me sopping but defense addressed
Problems we’ve been having with the H-two-O;
Supper; then a coffee touching base to know –How her project’s coming – starting up real soon;
Back to water problems – I must give more room
So the drain-off happens, less restrictive scene;
Losing power’s a problem – worse than it has been.Normal life’s defined by what we often see;
Global warming’s changed a lot, now storms can be
Part of summer challenge for us in this town;
Though there’s no tornadoes – still the rain comes down.Thank you, Lord, for ways to set our living up;
I can see things change, and they may be quite rough;
Water is the issue – if the winds increase,
There could be some issues which disrupt our peace.Thanks Lord, for this.
