Di – Hupamondais (Romans 8:25)

“Di” – or “dia” actually,
By-way-of’s what they mean to say
In Greek – a way from here to there
In fact, or attitude – compared –

To getting there more grumpily,
We go in keen expectancy;
With joyfulness – a cheerful heart,
Thus finish up just like we start.

For what’s all this expectancy?
This cheerful, joyous, show of glee?
Why, waiting till the day comes round,
Adopted bodies will be found –

To be the case – to wit – redeemed,
No more the mess which they have been;
Though software inside’s all been changed,
Good bodies must still be arranged.

It seems that Paul had pain in side,
Which came and went – he had to bide
His time, despite repeated prayer
Which drifted off like smoke in air.

One noticed, pain occurred to him,
“When Paul let thought in him begin
To carry others – take their plight,
And carry it throughout their night.

“For we can’t do that”, said the man;
“Each one must walk as best he can,
And we must let them – upright be,
Thus walk with them, freed up, and free.”

I guess; perhaps; but no one knows –
Our bodies hurt, and so it goes
For us – or some of us at least,
As aches and pains with age increase.

So, what the heck, I’m five years clear,
Or almost that, that time is near
When cancer is considered done –
As much as done for anyone.

For in a soup of chemicals
We live, and that’s not counting spills;
They’re in our water, air, and soil;
There in our homes, and where we toil.

So – “dia” – attitude throughout
Our walks of pain, both in and out;
Good cheer in keen expectancy?
Of course – our drugs provide our glee!
