Graced Victory (Romans 7:24-5)
When faced with sin I'm much alive,
To righteousness, I'm dead;
It's like a law – no point to strive;
Its gravity – I'm lead.I hold my keys in front of me,
And drop them to the floor;
I mind-control them just to see –
No go – try one time more.That's what it's like, I cannot win,
Oh wretchedness, indeed!
Who will deliver – friend? Or kin?
This is a desperate need.Then Jesus whispers in my ear,
"Raise other hand beneath
Your keys, and keep it somewhat near,
Let go, then you will see –"The keys stay up, they do not fall,
The other hand is there;
Same with temptations great or small –
That's how I show my care."A power greater than I am
Exists, and pours out love;
God of my understanding can
Grace me to life above –My greatest hope, request, or dream;
Thank God through Christ His Son!
Freed from the weakness found in me,
Graced victory's been won!navigation
