All In?
That's forty-five – the years have flown
Since they said ‘Yes’ to where I'd grown,
And opened up the way for me
To walk the walk You'd let me see.A pretty standard life I'd known,
But in my soul some seeds had grown,
Until that night I'd asked, "Where to?"
And felt that ‘Go’ and nudge from You.I checked it out – the Church's road –
Been satisfied that row to hoe,
As it allowed, yet structured me,
And worked so far as I could seeOf course that ‘pause’ was heard as well,
Which reassured through times of hell,
For as the song laid out for me,
‘I face tomorrow's world in Thee’.This week they said they'd ask that quiz,
“Is this for you where start-up is?
I have a task that needs be done,
Who'll go for me? For me will run?”You said, "Be there – and with your wife,
For it's the start – the rest of life –
Though it's laid out for four young men,
Within those lines I'll be again"Not ‘do’ but ‘be’, the great ‘I am’;
By grace I change your ‘can't’ to ‘can’ –
Who will I send? Who'll go for me?
Be there – let's see what's there to be."navigation
