The 'Chasing Info' Stage Of Change

I need to know the way ahead of me;
I need to learn what options there can be;
Thirst for the truth which other people know –
Questions abound before this crop I sow.

What kinds of seed have you found best to plant?
How ’bout the stones and weeds here on my land?
Some of this soil is packed down like cement,
Can I succeed, and will I be content?

What of my past, can any past be saved?
Must I look back and view the mess I've made?
What of my friends, and kinship ties now cut?
Is there still time to move on from this rut?

Questions emerge – so much for me to learn;
Options galore, new life for which I yearn;
Fresh still my past, its pain still brings me tears,
Will it subside or faster on for years?

I need to walk with other folks who know,
Who've gone before, they guide my feet below;
Help me stand up, and start out yet again,
Filling my mind with hope amidst my pain.

Questions abound and answers fast emerge –
Sweep o'er my mind like sea's refreshing surge;
So much I've missed as I pursued my past –
Such great resource, good options rise at last.

Then comes the day I can't absorb more thought;
Too full my mind, solutions which I've sought;
I want to try what most appeals to me,
Work out a way so better life can be.

So knowledge shifts to wisdom as I walk;
Some options fade from me as idle talk;
Not all at once – I choose one concept now,
Let's try it out – could you please show me how?
