Amazing is your part in life,
The part you've played through calm and strife –
Capacity to teach and sway
Young minds to walk two-language way –You gave them, all you had built up
For years – the best rose to the top –
You poured life to those words, with grace,

How is it others fail to see
That life together on the shore
Needs keys to open welcome's door?“To open wide our minds and hearts
To French, as English language arts,
Is key can open many doors
Of pleasure, work, for girls and boys.“The world is one community –
A global village, not ‘just me’ –
Debate with others in this land's
Essential first, to understand.“The French bring joyousness to hearts,
With laughter, song, creative arts,
Our life's enriched here every day
As they cry out with us, ‘mon paye’“My friends communicate with me,
They've shared their lives from sea to sea,
And as each time of parting nears
We share together traveled tears.“Through French I have met lots of folks
Who've shared their laughter and jokes;
And now as this part of my days
