High Fives

A fellow said to do five tasks,
Put limits on what others ask;
If we do more – from five to ten,
It's quick route to that great amen.

It's hard to say which tasks work out,
And best to try a few in doubt;
Then as each task unfolds okay,
Plug that one in for baseline pay.

Then like a farm-team in pro sports,
Move up reserves of different sorts;
Each sector has its ups and downs,
So best to spread your skills around.

Life is a science (not exact),
We transfer skills when job we lack;
Authority from heaven comes,
Permission more like water runs.

So Fifth in line's a worthy task,
Gives back as much as we might ask;
There's no such thing as lowly place,
For each and every job there’s grace.

So let's see what's out there for us,
Surprise ’em all – success, no fuss;
Then at the end of each new day,
Exchange high fives with packet pay.
