The Pirate’s Day
“What makes you think you’re sent alone
(Though there you sit at home, alone)
For others have a passion too
For things you are to say and do.“But they can’t act so long as you
Sit there resource-less, feeling blue;
I’ve sent them out – they got there first –
So feed their hunger, quench their thirst.“Just look around (you’ll likely see
Them holding back) – they call to Me –
But I see them, roadblocks they face,
They ask a channel of My grace.“So, step up, friend, and lend a hand,
Get at your work they’ll under-stand
When you launch out into the deep
Hoist up your sails, new day will greet –“You when you take that forward step;
They’ll come – you ain’t seen nothing yet –
Who waits for whom? I bid you come
Step to your ship, on waters run.“This, the last day of all that’s past
A future life has come at last;
Take up your tools, I’ll show the route,
A way for you to get some loot.“For pirate’s gold lies on that trail;
With wits and team you’ll soon prevail;
Have fun; work hard; I’ll show the way –
‘Ahoy! Me mates – today’s the day!’”navigation
