When Our Day Comes

When our day comes, you will have passed through this,
In new-found light will come his greeting kiss;
The parts with dread are different, this we know –
We’re buoyed by prayer as into battle go.

For seven short hours, as you take rest then wake,
We too stand by – for us, our memory takes
Us back to when we let life go in trust
They’d do their best – agreement four – for us.
