This series of guidelines -- published in four separate versions for hog, dairy, beef and poultry operations -- defines acceptable farming practices for livestock operations, based on normal practices in the industry. They are intended for use as a reference tool for evaluating livestock operation proposals, individual practices and disputes between livestock producers and neighbours. The guidelines are widely distributed to producers and municipal councils, and are available to the general public.
